For a dry, boring look at me, here is my CV.
Slightly more interesting: I was born and raised in Carterville, IL. For my last three years of high school, I went to the Illinois Math and Science Academy (I was part of the charter class). Next came three years at the University of Illinois, where I earned a BS in Psychology with honors and a minor in computer science. Next came four years at Carnegie Mellon University, and a MS and PhD in cognitive psychology. My thesis advisor was John Anderson, so I was part of the ACT-R group. I took a faculty at the University of Florida for three years. After that, Carnegie Learning was starting up (from out of John's ACT tutoring group), so I worked for five years as a cognitive scientist for them. However, academe and Florida called me back, and I am now at the University of Tampa.
